About our Client
Thermo Power SRL is a start-up incorporated in 2023, operating mostly from the UCLouvain infrastructures in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.
Thermo Power overarching goal is to contribute positively to the energy transition and the decarbonation of the European industry.
For that purpose, Thermo-Power develops thermo-electric materials and generators that convert directly wasted heat into electricity, thereby reducing the global carbon footprint of industrial processes.
To sustain its development, Thermo Power is looking for an Industrialisation Engineer, willing to make an impact on the company’s progress and quickly willing to take responsibilities.
Location: Louvain-la-Neuve
Your role
- Together with the rest of the team, you drive the development of the manufacturing line for thermoelectric modules
- You set-up and validate manufacturing processes; you design and implement their automation and quality control
- You perform manufacturing trials and other prototyping activities and assess the quality of the results
- You support the design of the customer’s thermoelectric systems in terms of electrical management
- You deal with the partners involved in the manufacturing processes
Your profile
- You have a Master’s Degree in Electro-mechanical engineering
- You have some knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes (e.g. machining, welding, cutting, …)
- You have experience in automation, programming (e.g. LabView)
- You are creative, rigorous, and solution-oriented
- You want to have a direct impact on the development of the start-up, and participate actively in decision making in the technical development strategy
- You want to work in a high-tech environment
- You are willing to combine design & analysis work with hands-on experimental manufacturing and testing work
- You can learn quickly and not afraid to work on your own
- You have good communication skills
- You are fluent in French and English. Speaking Dutch is a plus.
