Your background:
· Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Business Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. A complementary degree in environment is an asset.

· Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proven track record of successful project management and meeting deadlines.
· Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to work independently and as part of an international team.
· Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and policies.
· You have excellent command of English and French, Dutch would be a plus.

Our client is a clinical stage biotech company leading the development of new therapies for rare diseases. The company’s leading program involves the treatment of X-linked Adrenoleukodystrophy, a fatal neurodegenerative disease affecting both pediatric patients and adults. Their treatment could become the first approved treatment for the most prevalent form of the disease.
The company is now preparing for presenting a marketing authorization application (MAA) in Europe while in the US is under discussions with FDA on the path to approval. The company recently secured one of the largest rounds of EU biotech in 2022. The headquarters of our client is located near Barcelona in Spain and this position will be located in their subsidiary near Charleroi.
As the company is growing, we are currently looking for a talented CMC Manager (in Drug Product) to strengthen the CMC Department to support their development programs and product launch. You will report to the director of CMC activities.
This position is an excellent opportunity to contribute actively to the advancement and the growth of a Phase 3 stage company while contributing to the development of a promising treatment. This role will be key in this growing organization.
Role
In this exciting role as CMC Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Monitor in-house and external CMC activities. Facilitate development and oversee execution of CMC activities.
- Manage CDMOs for scale-up, process validation, cGMP manufacturing and supply chain/logistics.
- Identify potential technical, supply and compliance issues and recommends mitigation for emerging risks.
- Review technical documents.
- Prepare plans and timelines based on inputs from CDMOs teams. Contribute to implementing, maintaining business continuity of the product across the complete supply chain.
- Ensure Drug product (DP) supply for clinical studies and product launch.
- Contribute to launch readiness from operational point of view. Contribute to prepare supply chain model and stock policy.
- Liaise with other departments to provide them the requested CMC information. Ensure alignment with internal cross functional team.
Profile
- Bachelor or Master in Pharmacy.
- 3-5 years CMC experience in small molecules, in drug product (DP) from technical and operational point of view.
- Good understanding of DP process development, scale-up and process validation.
- Experience in manufacturing, supply chain/logistics and GMP is a must.
- Experience in production planning and in product launch preparation from operational point of view.
- Understanding of quality assurance.
- Substantial experience working with CDMOs and leading their teams is a plus.
- Experience in ERP systems is a plus.
- Open-minded with strong team spirit and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to contribute to a continuous learning and process improvement environment.
- Agility, rapid response to changes without losing the ability of being organized.
- Ability to work independently and to collaborate with a group in a goal- and team-oriented setting.
- Effective communication skills.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Your Responsibilities
Our Sales Engineer Bioprocessing promotes, demonstrates and sells our biotech products portfolio adapted to the customers’ development processes.
Your network and commitment give access to key players within the life science and agro food markets.
You demonstrate in-depth knowledge of operations and practices relevant to customers and processes in the biotech and food markets.
You will be mainly focused on Flanders region with a support for Wallonia.
As Sales Engineer, you :
- Engage in technical consultations with customers and proposes the bioprocess solutions of the company Life Science Division with a special focus on bioreactors / fermenters in the Benelux area.
- Take actions to be informed and report on the biotech/bioprocess project in the Benelux market.
- Work in close relationship with the Area Sales Managers and the Product Manager to coordinate activities and improve results.
- Coordinate test runs to evaluate and/or demonstrate technologies adapted to the customer's processes.
- Advise and supports customers in scaling up installed bioreactors/bio-fermenters.
- Ensures, together with the team and colleagues, that the division's sales targets are achieved.
- Share experiences, applications and technology with his colleagues and is part of the sales training organization.
- Work with the Product Manager to define and implement actions in the market penetration area.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant technical developments in the bioprocess market segment.
Your profile
- You understand key business drivers; use this understanding to accomplish his own work.
- You solve problems in straightforward situations; analyze possible solutions using technical experience, judgment and precedents.
- You impact quality of his own work and the work of others in the team; work within guidelines and policies.
- You have an in-depth knowledge of unit operations and practices relevant to biotech customers and processes.

- Fluent in Dutch and English, verbally and in writing with good command of French.
- You have the ability to give presentations at conferences, events.
- You have the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- You have developed a bioprocessing working experience in biotech / biopharma / agrofood.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Degree (or equivalent), B.S., MSc or PhD in Science/Engineering.
- 3 - 5 years minimum relevant experience, preferably in biotech industry.
- Recent valid driving license and passport.
- Willing to travel in the Benelux with occasional travel to our suppliers outside the Benelux.
