About our Client
Our client, based in Liège, is a preclinical-stage biotechnology that develops therapeutic solutions for all forms of amyloid mediated diseases, i.e. neurodegenerative disorders and amyloidosis. As the team is growing, our client is looking for an “R&D Scientist – protein engineering”, based in Liège (Belgium):
Your role
As an R&D Scientist, and reporting to the R&D leader, you will be part of the RD team and transversaly support the ongoing evaluation of candidates in amyloidosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson diseases and other therapeutic targets.
Capitalizing on your experience in protein design and characterization, you will actively contribute to investigate molecular mechanisms of Amyl molecules that characterize ib-intercations with targets and identify potential new next-generation candidates.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who meets the following requirements:
- Ph.D. with expertise and experience in Protein design/ Protein biochemistry/ protein and mab engineering
- A deep level of knowledge and hands-on experience in antibody discovery and/or engineering (different antibody formats, engineering antibody conditional binding or Fc function), acquired either in academics or biotech labs.
- Strong technical skills in molecular biology, antibody display technology, cell culture, protein expression and purification, and biophysical characterization
- Experience acquired in an industry setting would be expected. Our client is looking for biotech as a priority).
